Delhi, Agra and Jaipur together make up India's most-travelled first circuit for a reason — three very different cities, each with a headline monument, reachable in a single short trip.
Why this is India's classic first trip Delhi gives you Mughal and colonial history side by side, Agra is built entirely around the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, and Jaipur's Pink City adds Rajput forts and palaces — between them you get a genuine cross-section of North Indian history in a compact loop.
A sample 4-day itinerary Day 1: Delhi sightseeing — Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, Qutub Minar and Chandni Chowk. Day 2: Drive to Agra (roughly 3–4 hours by expressway), Taj Mahal at sunrise or sunset, then Agra Fort. Day 3: Drive to Jaipur (around 5 hours), afternoon at Amber Fort and Nahargarh viewpoint. Day 4: City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar before your onward journey.
Best time to go October to March offers comfortable daytime temperatures for sightseeing across all three cities; summer (April–June) gets genuinely hot, particularly in Agra and Jaipur.
Getting between cities Private car with a driver is the most common way to cover this route comfortably, though the Delhi–Agra leg is also well served by fast trains if you'd rather split the drive.
Guided vs unguided A local guide at the Taj Mahal and Amber Fort adds real historical context that's easy to miss on a self-guided visit — worth booking at least for those two stops even on an otherwise independent trip.
A dedicated Golden Triangle package isn't yet part of our fixed catalogue, but it combines well with a longer Rajasthan trip — see our Jaisalmer and Udaipur–Mount Abu itineraries, or ask us to build a custom multi-city trip starting in Jaipur.
